Welcome to the Gender Training Wiki

Hello and Welcome to the UN INSTRAW Gender Training Wiki! This Wiki is intended to provide a centralized resource centre for gender trainers, academics, gender mainstreaming, knowledge management & development experts and practitioners , as well as individuals and organizations in general looking for gender training opportunities and resources and funding for their activities.

UN INSTRAW staff regularly updates the information in the Gender Training Wiki. However, the Wiki is a participatory resource centre and the intention is that this site will be self sustaining and the community of registered users will upload and comment on content as well as benefiting from content uploaded by others. UN-INSTRAW Gender Training Community of Practice members contribute also to keeping the Wiki updated. Wikis are about empowering YOU to help shape the resources so please participate as fully as possible!

Our world is governed by a multiplicity of insitutions large and small, governmental, inter governmental, non governmental and private. this section of the Gender Wiki offers a cross section of Institutions that support Gender Capacity Buiding through training, research or other means. It is our wish that this listing comprimises a comrpehensive representation of Institutions related to the field of Gender Training so new additions are always welcome.

Trainings in the pipeline/Cursos de capacitación

In this section you can locate both one off trainings and capacity building opportunities such as conference and regularly scheduled academic and private trainings currently available for individuals and institutions looking to build their knowledge and understanding of Gender issues. Also we invite you to publicise your own opportunities to others using this resource.

For organizations wishing to promote their courses or events, please ensure that you submit your entries with sufficient time before the application deadline!

INSTRAW is dedicated to promoting better informed, more effective Gender Training and Capacity Building. In this section you can access a range of training materials and related research to inspire you to create the right Gender Training for your organization. Please upload materials you have created to strengthen this resource and the impact of Gender Training worldwide.

Funding Sources,

Developing our knowledge and skills is not always a cheap endeavor. In this section of the Gender Training Wiki you will can upload or access funding opportunities for both individuals and institutions.

This listing includes entries for Grant Making Trusts, Foundations and other organizations that disburse funds for activities related to gender education and training and one off scholarships or prizes offered to individual applicants for study or training in an academic or professional context. Additionally you can access materials here to support you in developing applications to funders.
