The 'Gender Self-Assessment' reference guide is an up-dated version (2004) of the gender audit developed for SNV by the Gender & Development Training Centre. The adjustments are based on experiences with the audit in the field and alterations to SNV policy. The key changes comprise the guidelines for a shorter version of the self-assessment, a new instrument for measuring 'partner appraisal' and extra attention for the follow-up. The cd-rom provides the gender self-assessment in four languages: English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. SNV has carried out gender assessments or amended gender self-assessments in various countries. Some examples, including a special version for partner organisations, are also included on the cd-rom. |
